Betsy James

Betsy James is the author-illustrator of seventeen books and many short stories for adults, young adults, and children. Her books have garnered such honors as New York Public Library Best Book for the Teen Age, Tiptree Award Honor Book, and Voices of Youth Advocates Best Fantasy. She teaches a writers' workshop in speculative fiction for the University of New Mexico Honors College, as well as workshops for adults and children, nationally and internationally, with a special interest in the role of speculative fiction in the understanding of culture.
